Project Operation - Improving complex systems without killing the patientBrandon Ward
Greenfield projects are the BEST! But most of the time we’re asked to take an existing app, site, or platform and improve it. But how do we effectively address all the design and technical debt inherent in legacy systems without bringing it all crashing down upon us?
In this talk I’ll share insights, ideas, and strategies I’ve used over the years to strategically and successfully effect meaningful change in large (and small) systems without breaking the bank, the system, or the team.

UKOUG - Implementing Enterprise API Management in the Oracle Cloudluisw19
API-led connectivity has become the main mechanism to integrate with SaaS applications. Mobile applications, modern web applications and Internet of things also need APIs. In the Oracle Cloud there are at least 6 cloud services offering a solution for APIs, (Mobile Cloud Service, API Manager Cloud Service, API Platform Cloud Service, API Catalog Cloud Service, IoT Cloud Service and Integration Cloud Service).
This presentation will first and foremost describe what an enterprise-wide API management solution looks like, will elaborate on a solid API taxonomy to then show how to position each of the mentioned cloud services to deliver an end to end API management solution in the Oracle Cloud but also capable of handling hybrid cloud use cases.
In addition real live use cases will be referenced to help contextualise the content presented.
Sourcing and Procurement Excellence in a Networked WorldSAP Ariba
Procurement executives are continually challenged to maintain sustainable savings, overall operational efficiency, and risk mitigation in today’s highly volatile commodity markets and risk-prone global supply chains. Organizations today look up to procurement teams to deliver value beyond tactical savings. Procurement is increasingly seen as the driver of business value through cross-functional collaboration within the enterprise as well as outside. But how do you keep the momentum going? We will explore how a truly integrated source-to-settle process offers a tremendous ROI, with spend analysis driving effective sourcing, suppliers well-managed, and contracts compliantly purchased off of. We will share how a successful journey begins with the vision and a solid business case, and continues through effective deployment of technology and the necessary process change management.

RECOMMENDATIONS
NEED TO WORK ON STICKERS.
THERE SHOULD BE REVIEW MEETINGS TO CHECK SCANNERS ARE USED
OR NOT.
BOOKING ASSOCIATES AND ALL HUBS SHOULD BE ENABLED WITH HIGH-
SPEED CONNECTIVITY TO PROPEL.
OAS NEED TO MOTIVATE TO USE SCANNERS.
NEED TO PROVIDE MORE SCANNERS IN HUBS WHERE SCANNING STARTED
AT OPTIMUM LEVEL.
