7. The conjugation to the third person - SINGULAR
RULE 1: To the majority of the verbs we merely add S at the end
of the verbs.
Ex: speak, makeS, listenS, playS, readS and so on…
RULE 2: If the verb ends in a consonant + Y, changes the Y to I
and add ES.
Ex: CRY, FLY= CRIES, FLIES, SPY=SPIES
8. • RULE 3: If the verb ends in a vowel + Y, do not
change the Y just add S
Ex: PLAYS, BUYS,
RULE 4: If the verb ends in O, X, S, Z, CH, SH just add ES.
Ex: GOES, DOES, FIXES, KISSES, WATCHES, WISHES
The only exception to these rules is HAVE = HAS
