Do I Need Photoshop for Premiere Pro?
While Photoshop and Premiere Pro are both powerful tools, they serve different purposes. Premiere Pro is designed for video editing, while Photoshop is designed for graphic design. However, there are some cases where you may need to use both programs together.
For example, if you're creating a video that requires custom graphics or animated titles, you may need to create those graphics in Photoshop and import them into Premiere Pro. Similarly, if you're creating a video that requires color correction or retouching, you may need to use Photoshop to adjust the color and tone of your footage before importing it into Premiere Pro.
Ultimately, whether you need Photoshop for Premiere Pro depends on the specific project you're working on. Adobe Premiere Pro is a video editing software. It is used for editing
videos, commercials and other film, television, and online videos. It
can be used for all common video editing tasks and is relatively simple
to use. It can be used to import video, audio and graphics, and is used
to create edited versions of video which can be exported to the
format necessary for distribution. Premiere Pro is used by both
normal people and professionals, such as production firms, news
stations, marketing professionals, etc.
How to import footage and trim it:
You have to insert the footage that you want to edit into the software,
this can be done by going to file then import. However a simpler way
is to just drag and drop the footage into the footage box at the
bottom of the screen.
You then add the footage to the timeline by dragging and dropping it
into it, from the footage box.
To trim the footage you pull the blue bar to the place that you want to
cut your video from, then you use the razor tool to cut the footage at
that line.
