Preliminary Task Planning
Me and Rubi decided we were going to work together and plan our
preliminary task.
We took our ideas into consideration and discussed these points:
•Location
•Costumes
•Shot Angles
•Lighting and Color
•180 Degree rule, match on action and shot reverse shot
•Idea
•Why?
•Who are the people?
•Why are they meeting?
•How will their feelings/motivation be shown through camerawork?
Location
School staircase and corridors.- chose the school as it suggests both of the characters
are teenagers and attend school and are having a conflict in school.
Costumes
Normal casual clothes.
Lighting & Color
The lighting used in the location.
180 degree rule/Match on action/Shot reverse shot
-The match on action will be used when the boyfriend walks to his girlfriend.
-The shot reverse shot will be used when the protagonist is having a conversation with
her boyfriend, telling him about their break up.
-The 180 degree rule will be used between the conversation between both
characters, capturing their facial expressions while speaking.
Why are they meeting?
Harley is meeting Hibba because she wants to break up with him and called him.
Harley is upset and wants to sort it out, but Hibba returns the gift he had got her
and leaves.
How will their feelings/motivations be shown through camerawork?
Close ups joint with over the shoulder shot to see feelings being written.
Shot reverse shot to see both characters feelings through facial expressions.
Match on action to hide feelings.
Close up of characters faces to show their feelings.
Characters
Protagonist – Hibba. She’s a normal teenager, wearing casual clothes that
represent her as being an average teenage girl. She is portrayed as being
tough and ignorant.
Protagonist’s boyfriend – Harley. He is an average teenage boy, and this is
portrayed by the casual clothes he is wearing. He is an emotional guy and this
is suggested by his facial expressions.

Opening Sequence
Scene One: Harley is walking up the stairs.
Scene Two: Harley walks towards Hibba in the corridor.
Scene Three: Both the characters have a conversation about their break up.
Scene Four: Hibba returns the gift Harley got her and leaves.
