Regular exercises during pregnancy have been
associated with higher cardio respiratory fitness,

15. Water : Adequate Supply is a must for
would – be – mothers.
Drinking at least 8 – 10 glasses of water of
water every day helps meet the increased need
of general body fluids which support fetal
circulation, amniotic fluid, and a higher blood
volume. An adequate fluid supply also ensures
that your patient has enough reserves to tolerate
blood loss during deliver.1

17. Regular health check ups: Helps in
avoiding possible complication.
Antenatal supervision and consultation in pregnant women
should be regular from the beginning of the pregnancy till the
end at deliver. (At least 3 visits are required; at 20 weeks, 32
weeks and 36 weeks). Further visits may be made if justified
by the condition of mother. Antenatal care has an impact on
the birth weight of the newborn child and incidence of still

foetus grows in a positive light.
Anxiety or stress during pregnancy
can affect birth outcomes, causing
babies to be born earlier and possibly
possibly smaller for their gestational
age. It can also cause longer – term
behavioral problems in the babies.1

and a healthy baby.
Pregnant women with high blood sugar are
at increased risk for high blood pressure,

time of delivery. Pregnant women should
maintain their sugar levels by regular

A woman’s lack of receiving routine dental care when
