Regional Mass Training provided an overview of planning data collection procedures for action research projects. The document outlined learning objectives which were to create a data collection plan and understand the importance of planning. It then engaged participants by having them trace the data collection procedure of an action research journal. The document discussed planning data collection processes and outlined what a data gathering procedure section of a research paper should include, such as where, when and how data was obtained. It also covered getting necessary permissions, administering instruments, and handling irregularities. Participants were then tasked with creating a data collection plan for a given research title and the document provided a rubric for evaluation.
