The document introduces a Cleaner Production Toolkit designed to train trainers in cleaner production. The toolkit contains 12 volumes that cover various aspects of cleaner production like material flow analysis, energy analysis, waste management, and environmental audits. Each volume includes teacher notes, background materials, exercises, and other resources. The toolkit is intended to support the design of cleaner production projects and training courses. It has proven effective in workshops and for technical assistance at companies seeking to implement cleaner production strategies.

The WBCSD has developed a certain number of tools, methodologies or
principles that aim to support member companies’ sustainability journey.
These different tools are briefly introduced in this document, while more information on each of them is freely available on the WBCSD website. Or on my slideshare profile.
In this document, the tools are classified in categories that correspond to different stages of the journey towards sustainability: awareness raising and capacity building, understanding available tools, methodologies to help assess impacts and dependencies, and frameworks to help manage projects.

Environmental Management System and Green Productivity (EMS_GP) Implementatio...inventionjournals
the cement plant has many environmental aspect that can lead to pollution. For managing this effects we must use of environmental and productivity technique to minimize this effects. In this study, the Kurdistan cement plant as a case study had studied by use of two important technique: green productivity and environmental management systems as ISO. For there more, this plant environmental aspect had identified by brainstorming and specialist opinion. Then those causes are specified and for each one proposed an option for controlling it. Finally in order to applying this options, these are prioritized by ranking them. The spraying water on dust from mining and transportation is first option to applying.
DRIVER+ is the second phase of DRIVER, an FP7 project launched in 2014 whose main aim is to valorise the wealth of European Innovation and Science in Crisis Management, by assessing and delivering solutions that can be used, and combined, to address different types of large-scale crises. Interrupted in 2016 for one year to implement necessary improvements and ensure to better take into account the Crisis Management practitioners’ needs, DRIVER has returned in September 2017 and will run until 2020.

The talk summarises the lessons learnt from nearly 200 cases of Knowledge Management journeys by Hong Kong and Asian enterprises. Much of the data is gained through the extensive number of student, consultancy and research projects carried out or supervised by KMIRC staff at private companies, non-profit social services organizations and government departments.
A Practical Approach to Assess the Environmental Impact of Footwear using Life Cycle Assessment Principles
Andrew Hudson, BLC Leather Technology Centre Ltd (UK)
You can start using the CFT when you have an idea for a project with a technology component that is focused on children and adolescents. It consists of 52 worksheets grouped into seven sections. These worksheets serve as programme guidance and can spark conversations among your team members. The CFT will guide you through strategizing a context-specific plan, without proposing a one-size-fits-all solution. The finishing product will be a completed Concept Note and Executive Summary, which is essentially the Terms of Reference for your project. You can finalize it, share it, and kick off your work.
The CFT is created by the UNICEF Innovation Unit, Supply Division and Programme Division based on dedicated work and extensive research of UNICEF Country Offices. We hope that sharing the CFT will assist you in creating a Child Friendly Technology project that leaves a lasting impact.

Each volume has the following structure:
• Teacher’s notes – recommendations from experienced CP experts to
teachers;
• Background material:
Textbook Textbook with important background
information;
Examples Several examples with photos, diagrams and/or
specific information;
Exercises Several exercises or interactive training units
with solutions and instructions;
Slides Selected slides for presentation;
Worksheets Worksheets for work in companies and/or
workshops;
Checklist Checklist for workshop and company work;
Questions Questions with solutions to check that the
participants have understood the subject.
The background material and teacher’s notes are helpful tools for the
trainer during training sessions or technical assistance at company level.
The authors have used these materials in workshops with consultants or
companies and achieved excellent results.
The teacher’s notes and background material are based on the long-term
experience that CP experts have acquired during many projects in different
industrial sectors.
The authors believe that successful CP projects are based on a unique
combination of training, interactive exercises, motivation of trainers,
extensive experience as consultants, practical implementation of options,
mutual learning and last but not the least on the fun factor of group work.

time the concept of “training on the job” is applied. For more details on the
training courses and company work, please refer to the respective chapters
of the twelve volumes (teacher’s notes, textbooks, worksheets, checklists,
etc.)

monthly meeting with all participants covering
a half or full day;
Alternative: 3 training blocks every 2 to 3
months for 2 to 3 days.
CP project, in-company work
Number of company visits and expert support
depending on the skills of the expert and the
involvement of the company;
Minimum: 4 to 6 visits during the project.

• Training courses
In the teacher’s notes, one-day training workshops are described. The
material in the Toolkit (examples, slides, exercises) can also be used for
training units only. This training course can be designed as:
Complete CP training course including all the volumes of the Toolkit
(from three days up to three weeks);
CP training course on specifically selected topics;
Single training workshops on a specific topic
(from one hour to two days).
