This research is motivated by the rules of the Ministry of Education and
culture regarding the implementation of education during the Covid-19
pandemic which requires distance learning by using online learning media.
The purpose of this research is to identify online learning activities of
students during the Covid-19 pandemic and analyze effectiveness in online
learning. Online learning becomes one of the successes to creating social
distancing behavior. However, it is still less effective in its implementation
because there are various constraints such as economic ability, mastery of
technology, internet quota, and inadequate network. So one of the media
used in online learning is video-based learning.

Batubara (2020) explained that in online learning it is very effective to use
video tutorials that can illustrate something that can move, or an abstract
and moving concept.
Masdafni (2020) explained in his research that in online learning, learning
outcomes using animated video media in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Seberida
Indragiri Hulu can be successful. The average student learning outcomes were
initially 66 then increased to 77 in cycle I and increased again in cycle II to 80.

The following are some studies that are relevant to optimizing online
learning by using interactive video media
10. From the results it was concluded that the provision of material with video-
based media was effective in the learning process. The suggestion from the
researcher is that the use of video-based media must be prepared and the
manufacturing process must take a long time. So that making videos doesn't
take long, it's best to make a concept and text that will be discussed. Based
on the results of a literature study
carried out it can be concluded that the use of interactive videos when
learning online.
