The land crabs held a meeting to discuss fighting the waves that were keeping them awake at night with their loud singing. They decided to go to battle against the waves the next day. However, when the male crabs arrived at the shore, the strong waves overwhelmed them and they drowned. Their wives then went to help but also drowned. Now their orphaned children can be seen running back and forth at the shore, seeming to want to fight the waves like their parents but lacking courage.
