O Test Automation is the use of software to
execute the tests. Test Automation
involves automating execution of test
cases for enhancing speed and reliability.
O Automation testing is fast,
Reliable,Repeatable, Programmable &
Reusable.
O There are two types of automation tool.
Functional & non functional automation
tool

O Automation scripts are faster than manual
test execution elements human errors.
One can test repeated of the same
operations.
O One can reuse tests on different versions
of an application.
O Commonly repetitive test cases like
regression test case are automated using
these tools.
O Functional automation tools are QTP,
winRunner , silktest,selenium.

4. O Non functional automation tool is Load
runner, Silk performer, webload.
O These tools are used to automate the
functionality of an application by sending
keyboard and mouse actions to the
application.
O It is possible by creating and executing
test automation scripts using language
supported by functional automation tool.
