The Ring-Tailed Lemur is one of 22 lemur species and the only one with a ringed tail. They sunbathe in groups in open areas of the forest, sitting in a yoga-like position facing the sun to warm up before foraging at night when temperatures drop. Lemurs were called "ghosts" or "spirits" in Latin due to their large eyes, haunting sounds, and still behavior.
