This document describes an experiment to determine how the concentration of acid rain affects the rate of erosion of marble. The experiment measures the change in mass of marble samples exposed to solutions of nitric and sulfuric acid at different pH levels below 5.6 over time. The results are then analyzed to calculate the percentage change in mass and rate of erosion under each condition to understand how acidity impacts the marble erosion rate.
