A severe drought in Somalia, the worst seen in 60 years, has led to a massive famine putting 4 million people at risk of starvation. Hundreds are dying daily from a lack of food and water, with tens of thousands already dead, over half of them children. The drought has destroyed agricultural production, food prices are very high, and livestock are dying, while ongoing conflict has prevented aid from reaching many vulnerable people.
