Probably can’t spend time on all slides in Durango. One part to skip for Durango is talking tips for admin. - or just briefly show it.
This presentation is 2 parts: 1 st half details about changes in our program and how to participate and/or apply for H.E. Recognition 2 nd half are tips/strategies to help you incrementally improve on the rubric and just help you be better/essential at your job so that you can positively affect student achievement scores. This is our transition slide from old to new. Will explain why “Highly Effective” in the power point. This used to be the joke from my staffs about their perception of power libraries. They really didn’t get it. They thought it was more about multi-tasking well, I think.
Just review the “directions’ link here Look at competencies briefly after this. Can briefly show the “goals” link, if needed. Look at application link if needed, too, but don’t explain as in-depth as we have been. Explain how performance indicators inform your decision of which to circle.) Allow time here for questions
Show the goals page – stress it’s not about us judging but, rather, help you. Can we match a coach, a mentor, do a workshop for your district? This is what I feel like when I self-assess. And while I was an HP librarian at both schools, I wouldn’t have rated H.E. in all areas. We have set the bar high—intentionally. We’re setting the bar high for our students/teachers with the new standards—we have to doubly prove ourselves.
This is Robert Hammond, our commissioner, who will be at the school board meeting to recognize you! WE’LL SHOW INCENTIVES FOR PARTICIPATION AT END OF THIS PRESENTATION Next part of presentation shows you ideas of how mentors, coaches, etc. can help you, and stresses the expertise we’ve gathered from H.P. librarians.
