This study examined differences in post-exercise blood pressure recovery between males and females, and the influence of menstrual cycle phase in females. Both males and females showed decreases in blood pressure after exercise. However, females had greater decreases than males. Additionally, females' blood pressure recovery differed depending on menstrual cycle phase, with lower pressures during the early follicular phase when reproductive hormone levels are lowest. These findings suggest cardiovascular recovery from exercise differs between males and females and is influenced by menstrual cycle phase in females.
