Misunderstandingwill be clarified.Eachstudentwillbe givenanassignmenttouse the painassessment
scale on theirassignedolderadult.
Post Clinical conference:
Each studentwill be given an opportunity to discuss their experiences of using the pain
assessment tool(s), the intervention (if needed) & evaluation of response (5min).
Why did you choose that particular pain rating scale? What are the challenges of using it?
What communication techniques did you use to elicit information from your patient?
Was any intervention required? What pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments did
you use?
Was your treatment strategy effective? Why? why not?
