1. Abstract
Faith Community Nurses (FCN) often work unpaid while providing holistic care for their clients
and families free of charge. Due to the multiple roles they are engaged in and lack of funding to
their programs, in many cases documentation of services are not completed. Different programs
use various documentation tools to document their services. Simple and concise documentation
tools are needed to capture the holistic care of FCNs. Documentation of nursing care not only
shows the works of nurses to their community but also helps them track intended nursing
outcomes. Therefore, Faith community nurses need to understand the evidence behind
documentation through continuing education so that they incorporate documentation as an
essential part of their practice.
