1. Curriculum Vitae
EDUCATION
Sarah Lawrence College 2011-2015
BA, Concentration in Music Composition
Senior Thesis Composition: “Cher Ami Op.3” -2015
Full orchestral composition based on the story of a famous homing pigeon who
saved the ‘Lost Battalion of the 77th Division’ in the Battle of the Argonne in 1918.
Notable Accomplishments/Skills: 2011-2015
• ‘Doorway Party,’ { ’swä-(,)l ō }, and Exquisite Corpse, are several Graduate Student
Contemporary Dance pieces that I was called upon to be the principal composer for. They
primarily utilize dark and emotive electronic music.
• Pioneering and Co-Founding The Sarah Lawrence Experimental Chamber Ensemble or
“SEE,” which later on composed music for, through the guidance of our maestro, John Yannelli,
“The Mantises are Flipping,” a contemporary dance piece written by Teresa Fellion, which was
performed downtown Manhattan and reviewed by the New York Times.
• Creating and sustaining my own private guitar lessons to beginning, intermediate, and
advanced students ranging from ages 20-35 during my 4 years of college in New York
• Advanced knowledge of electronic music in composition, editing, mixing and mastering.
• Three short film compositions entitled, ‘Reel’ and ‘Heist School,’ and ‘Allure,’ the latter
being finalized within this winter.
• Multiple internships/mentorships in music and audio editing, transposition, and
professional recording assistance. (See Internships and Mentorships)
• Advanced knowledge of musical notation and editing.
• Working/performing in a completely improvisatory/aleatoric environment with a full
orchestra.
• Working/performing in a completely improvisatory/aleatoric environment within the
dance department alongside improvisatory dancers.
• Leading an improvisatory ensemble through sessions which involved improvisatory dance
or short film scoring.
Current Interests and Upcoming Projects
• I have been commissioned to compose a piece for the Professional Ballet Company of
Charleston South Carolina starting summer of 2016 through the Fall period for the winter
show season.
• ‘the moon is essentially gray’ / ‘the light drifter’ I am currently working closely with two
graduate students at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan NY, on their senior thesis, which
are animation short films. I will be scoring both shorts using primarily electro-acoustic
instruments with a contemporary emotional outlook on the former, and a classical/orchestral
tone to the latter.
• There are several prospects of short films and contemporary theatre pieces on the
horizon as well which are too far in advanced to give information on.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE PIECES
DOORWAY PARTY - 2015
Contemporary dance piece choreographed by Bianca Roman. Original score composed of
electronic instruments and environmental sounds. Piano, Nylon String Guitar, Double bass,
Trumpet, Tuba, Trombone etc.. This piece was a bit different for me because of how collaged the
choreography was. That influenced the piece to be, in itself, very segregated from each individual
section, but still within the same universe. The choreography was influenced by emerging
sexuality and childhood, alongside the looming knowledge of adulthood. Performed in the Bessie
Schönberg Performing Arts Center at Sarah Lawrence College for the Graduate MFA Spring
Dance Concert.
{ ’SWÄ-(,)L Ō } - 2015
Contemporary dance piece choreographed by Bianca Roman. Original score composed of
electronic instruments from stand up bass/piano, to synthesizer/found sounds. The piece played
with ideas of self negation, swallowing of ones own self affirmation. The challenge of this piece
was the specificity of the cue’s and choreography. Performed in the Bessie Schönberg Performing
Arts Center at Sarah Lawrence College for the Graduate MFA Fall Dance Concert and again in
competition in Philadelphia at Lock Haven University.
EXQUISITE CORPSE - 2014
Contemporary dance piece choreographed by Helen Hickey. Original score composed of
electronic instruments mixed into a piece by Karlheinz Stockhausen called Kontakte. This was
one of the more interesting projects I worked on in that the piece was not only mixed in with a
famous composers track, the piece would likely be considered a ‘noise’ piece because of the lack
of actual harmony or melody. It is a very dark piece that I found challenging and beautiful.
Performed in the Bessie Schönberg Performing Arts Center at Sarah Lawrence College for the
Graduate MFA Spring Dance Concert.
THE MANTISES ARE FLIPPING: BODYSTORIES; TERESA FELLION DANCE - 2015
Contemporary dance piece choreographed by Teresa Fellion. This piece was specifically
interesting because it involved a group of musicians, conducted and recorded by our maestro. We
(our Contemporary, improvisational, chamber, music ensemble) recorded about 16 hours of
material through the choreographers/maestros directions and then it was all taken to create one
hour long piece. It was received well and performed on the Lower East side of Manhattan and in
Federal Plaza. It was also reviewed by distinguished critics like the New York times.
