Responsibilities included consultation on and management plans written for numerous
plantations and lands in Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Arkansas and
Missouri, and Texas. Quail hunting course design, quail restoration services, timber
evaluation and sales, habitat evaluation, prescribed burning, population surveys, GPS
and aerial mapping, food plot installations, nesting box installations, bird hunting
guiding, property manager training, and many other services performed for private
landowners. Extensive contract work performed for non-profit conservation easement
land trusts writing Baseline Documentation Reports, performing annual site visits,
performing species identification, threatened and endangered species surveys,
mapping, and other tasks related to trust lands.

Responsibilities included yearly budgets, plans and execution of land, timber and wildlife
management, timber sales and contracts, wildlife fencing, care for and breeding captive
deer, security, farming, prescribed burning, extensive heavy equipment operation and
maintenance, mechanic work, service and maintenance of recreational vehicles, hunting
dog care and training, kennel maintenance, hunting, and entertainment of guests on
2,450 acres.
Organized and managed large functions such as dove shoots, corporate events and
commercial deer, turkey and quail hunts. Designed, constructed, and maintained quail
hunting courses. Contracted and built lodge, caretaker’s cabin, garage and kennel
facility, 5300’ paved airstrip, numerous ponds, and oversaw many large-scaled related
land and water source development and improvement projects. I converted a neglected
piece of property into a well-groomed wildlife habitat and recreational paradise.
Did years of research and successfully restored significant populations of quail on the
property.
* Won 2003 National Wildlife Stewardship Award Farm of the Year for Upland Game at
Uphapee Plantation, awarded by Progressive Farmer, for research, successful quail
restoration and land management techniques.

I am a very experienced biologist, conservationist, professional hunter and guide, and
am skilled at security, data collection and interpretation, wildlife management, and
entertainment of guests. One of my specialties is quail restoration, and I have
successfully restored quail to tens of thousands of acres of land throughout the United
States. I have been written up in numerous publications regarding my successful
techniques for restoring and managing populations of quail. I have vast experience
handling and working with live animals, including caring for, bottle feeding,
administering medication to, breeding, darting, tranquilizing and relocating captive
deer. I also have experience preparing land for and building game fences.
