Pope Francis visited Kazakhstan from September 13-15, 2022. During his visit, he met with bishops, priests, and pastoral agents. He emphasized that while each Church has a unique history, all Churches live in hope of God's promise being fulfilled. He recalled the early spread of Christianity in Central Asia and encouraged witnessing to the novelty and joy of Jesus. Pope Francis concluded his visit by attending a congress on religion, peace, and human fraternity. He called for promoting peace, women, and youth to build a future of hope.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

How to Make a Field invisible in Odoo 17Celine George
It is possible to hide or invisible some fields in odoo. Commonly using “invisible” attribute in the field definition to invisible the fields. This slide will show how to make a field invisible in odoo 17.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
2. MEETING WITH BISHOPS, PRIESTS, DEACONS,
CONSECRATED, SEMINARISTS AND PASTORAL AGENTS
Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Nur-Sultan) - Thursday, September 15, 2022
3. I thank Monsignor Mumbiela Sierra for his kind wordsof
greeting, in which he affirmed that "most of us are foreigners".
4. HEIRS AND PROMISE - On the one hand, each particular Church is
heir to a previous history. It is always born from an initial proclamation
of the Gospel, from a previous event, from the apostles and
evangelizers who founded it on the living word of Jesus. On the other
hand, every Church is also the community of those who have seen
God's promise fulfilled in Jesus and that, as children of the
resurrection, they live in the hope of its future fulfillment.
5. MEMORY - I think of the expansion of Christianity in Central Asia, which had
already begun in the first centuries, of so many evangelizers and missionaries
who dedicated their lives to spreadingthe light of the Gospel, founding
communities, sanctuaries, monasteries and places of worship
6. Our faith was transmitted through life, through witnesses who shed
the light of the Gospel in different situations to illuminate and purify
them, and to spread the consoling warmth of Jesus, the joy
of his saving love and the hope of his promise.
7. May we never tire of bearing witness to the very heart of salvation, to the novelty of Jesus, to
the novelty that Jesus is! …. Faith is not a beautiful display of artifacts from the distant past or
a museum, but an ever-present event, an encounter with Christ that takes place in the here
and now of our lives. So we cannot pass it on simply by repeating the same old things, but by
communicating the newness of the Gospel. In this way, faith remains alive and has a future.
8. FUTURE - the Gospel says that being “little”,
poor in spirit, is a blessing, a beatitude, and even
more so, the first of the beatitudes (cf. Mt 5,3).
9. A living community, full of hope, open to the newness of
the Spirit and to the signs of the times, inspired by the
evangelical example of the little seed thatit grows
and bears fruit in humble and creative love.
10. Christian communities, and seminaries in particular, must be
"schools of sincerity", not places of rigidity and formality,
but training camps in truth, openness and sharing.
11. Openness, joy and sharing are signs of the nascent Church, and of the
Church of tomorrow. Let us dream and, with God’s grace, work for a
Church increasingly filled with the joy of the risen Lord, fearless and
uncomplaining, rejecting rigidity, dogmatism and moralizing.
12. I think of Blessed
Bukowiński, a
priest who spent
his life caring for
the sick, the
outcast and those
in need, and paid
for fidelity to the
Gospel with
imprisonment
and hard labour.
13. I would recall too the blessed
Greek-Catholic martyrs –
Bishop Budka, Father
Zaryczkyj, and Gertrude
Detzel – whose beatification
process has now begun.
14. let us commend ourselves in a particular way to the Heart of
Mary Most Holy, whom you greatly venerate as Queen of Peace.
15. In the midst of
a bitterly cold
winter, the
snow quickly
melted to
reveal a lake
full of fish,
which fed
many famished
people.
16.
17. READING OF THE FINAL DECLARATION AND CONCLUSION OF THE CONGRESS
"Palace of Independence" (Nur-Sultan) - Thursday, 15 September 2022
18. in challenging times like our own, when the problems of the
pandemic have been compounded by the utter folly of war.
There are altogether too many cases of hatred and division,
too little dialogue and effort to understand others.
19. In our globalized world, this is all the more dangerous and scandalous. Our human family cannot
advance if simultaneously united and divided, interconnected and torn apart by massive inequality.
20. Thank you, then, for these efforts to build peace and unity. Our thanks go likewise to
the local authorities, who hosted us and organized this Congress with great care, and
to the hospitable and courageous people of Kazakhstan, capable of embracing other
cultures while at the same time preserving their own noble history and precious
traditions. Kiop raqmet! Bolshoe spasibo! Thank you very much!
21. Since its inception in 2003,
this event has taken as its
model the Day of Prayer for
Peace in the World, convened
in 2002 in Assisi by John Paul
II in order to reaffirm the
positive contribution made
by the religious traditions to
dialogue and to harmony
between peoples.
22. After the events of 11 September 2001, it was necessary to respond
collectively to the incendiary atmosphere that terrorist violence sought to
incite, and which threatened to turn religion into a grounds for conflict.
23. Pseudo-religious terrorism, extremism, radicalism and nationalism, dressed up
in religious garb, nonetheless continue to foment fears and concerns about
religion. In these days, then, it proved providential that we could come together
once more, in order to reaffirm the authentic and inalienable essence of religion.
24. if the golden eagle displayed on that flag speaks of earthly
authority and ancient empires, the blue background
evokes the colour of the sky and thus transcendence.
25. Transcendence, for its part, must not yield to the temptation to turn into
power, lest heaven fall to earth, the eternal “beyond” be chained to an
earthly present, and love of neighbour become prey to partisan decisions.
26. how many people are even now persecuted and discriminated against on account of
their faith! We have insistently appealed to governments and relevant international
organizations to provide assistance to religious groups and ethnic communities
whose human rights and fundamental freedoms have been violated, or subjected to
violence by extremists and terrorists, also as a result of wars and military conflicts.
27. The Church believes that all “humanity forms but one community.
This is so because all stem from the one stock that God created to people
the entire earth, and because all share a common destiny, namely God.
28. Pope John Paul II, who visited
Kazakhstan twenty-one years ago
this very month, stated that “for the
Church all ways lead to man”
and that man is “the way for the
Church” (Redemptor Hominis, 14).
I would like to say that today man
is also the way for all the religions.
29. The good of humanity should be taken into consideration
ahead of strategic and economic objectives, national, energy
and military interests, and in advance of crucial decisions.
30. the human person cannot be reduced to what he or she produces and earns; that human
beings must be accepted and never discarded; that the family, a word that in the Kazakh
language means “nest of soul and love”, is the natural and irreplaceable reality that must
be protected and promoted, so that tomorrow’s men and women may grow and mature.
32. RESOLUTIONS
1 - PROMOTION OF PEACE -
Beybitşilik, mir, peace! …
it is appropriately called
‘the effect of
righteousness’”
(Gaudium et Spes, 78).
We, who believe in the
Creator of all, must be
on the front lines in
promoting the growth
of peaceful coexistence.
We must bear witness
to peace, preach peace,
implore peace
33. We plead with you, in the name of God and for the good of humanity:
work for peace, not weapons! Only by serving the cause of peace,
will you make a name for yourselves in the annals of history.
34. 2 - PROMOTION OF WOMEN - we have endorsed the need to defend their dignity
and to improve their social status as equal members of the family and of society
35. 3 - PROMOTION OF THE YOUNG - Let us put into the hands of the young
opportunities for education, not weapons of destruction! And let us listen
to them, without being afraid to be challenged by their questions
