The MTDPOLYSTOPTM system is designed to stop the flow of polyethylene pipe up to 125 psi by entering the pipe section via a universal electrofusion fitting. It is typically used for permanent relocations or repairs of squeezed sections. The stopping operation involves setting a completion plug and installing a cap, and the fitting can be re-entered for future stop operations. The system features aluminum stopper housings, valves, and adapters for strength and weight reduction, and comes in sizes for 3x4, 4x6, 6x8, and 8x12 inch pipe.

The MTDPOLYSTOP™ System is
designed to stop flow through an
in-service section of 4”, 6”. 8” or 12”
polyethylene pipe up to 125 psi. The
pipe section is entered via a univer-
sal electrofusion fitting.
This system is typically used for per-
manent relocations or for permanent
repair of a section that has been pre-
viously squeezed in an emergency.
At the conlcusion of the stopping
operation, a completion plug is set
and a cap is installed. The fitting
may be re-entered for future stop
operations.
