STRUCTURE

3. Operations on Borazine Molecule
• It is a plannar molecule .
• Non-linear molecule , Hence C∞v ,D∞h,Td ,Oh are absent .
• It has C3 principal axis .
• Borazine molecule has 3C2 perpendicular to C3 .
• Hence it has D3h or D3d or D3 point group .
• It has σh plane is present , Hence it has D3h point group

•Symmetry operations:- E,C3 ,2C2 , i.
Borazine has D3h point group

➢It has non planar structure.
➢Non-linear molecule, hence D∞h, C∞v,Td,Od point groups are
absent.
➢It has 6C2 | er C6 axis is possible. Hence D6h/D6d/D6 point group is
present.
➢It does not has σh plane so,D6h point group is absent.
➢Hence bis(benzene)chromium has D6d point group.
