After the first round of municipal elections, many voters came to know a figure
not so unusual as the notorious Brazilian politics: the pole-called candidates. A
maxim in politics, attributed to Antonio Carlos Magalhães, says that quot;those who
have power and charisma to elect post in elections.quot; But, in Belo Horizonte, the
alliance of two parties more power in the country with the donkeys gave in water
. At least, until the opening of ballot boxes in the second round. Although the
candidate-pole indicated by chief charismatic has won the first round, the
number of votes was not enough to eliminate the second, as desired by the
dome of megapartido. In the end, the final word came of ballot boxes, concrete
noun that reflected certain autonomy of the electorate before the judgment done

Fraternity? What is certain is that every crisis tells us that it is time to start over.
But first, we need to pull all the machines that prevent us from moving forward.
Indeed, many of them are out there ... In companies, schools, universities, the
media, in the press. Finally, off the streets where they should be. That our
change begins with the end of compulsory voting! The face of Brazil would be
another in less than 10 years. Believe!, Well away from invasive position to
number 64 in the ranking of the World Economic Forum. I know that the hard
way is long! After all, we need to overturn many posts that wander around. And,
of course, without fear of being fined by the mayor. Inside, this task is more
difficult, after all the political center to the periphery always wanted to stay the
way it is for them to remain where they are. To change all this, we need to
change concepts, our actions, the imaginary, our speech, especially, the words
... Moreover, we scan the dictionary some terms and expressions of the past:
political chief, the crown jewel, combine, cable elections, mouth-to-urn, political
patronage and, of course, the infamous post-candidate! Now, the crop is
different, people!: Gamecultura, newsgames, social network, iPhone, podcast,
Blog NewasGames... Here among us, Gabeira has more to do with the Rio de
Janeiro than any other Rio. This way, the polls will certainly the last word with or
without post ... And may God bless us! After all, we do not want wealth, just let
us prosper ...

Pod 24 – Derrubando postes eleitorais

Após o primeiro turno das eleições municipais, muitos eleitores passaram a
conhecer uma figura não tão inusitada assim da famigerada política brasileira:
os chamados candidatos-poste. Uma máxima na política, atribuída a Antônio
Carlos Magalhães, diz que “quem tem poder e carisma elege até poste em
eleições”. Mas, em Belo Horizonte, a aliança de dois dos mais poderesos
partidos do país deu com os burros n’água. Pelo menos, até a abertura das
urnas no segundo turno. Embora o candidato-poste indicado pelos caciques
carismáticos tenha vencido o primeiro turno, o número de votos não foi
suficiente para eliminar o segundo, como pretendia a cúpula do megapartido.
No final, a última palavra veio das urnas, substantivo concreto que refletiu certa
autonomia do eleitorado diante do acordão feito às escuras dentro do Palácio
das Mangabeiras. Só que esquecerem de avisar à população. Esquecem de
olhar para fora da janela, como faz um bom mineiro. Foi um erro imperdoável
na era das multi-janelas refletidas na tela do Windows. Provavelmente, o poste
eleitoral não deve saber onde ficam, por exemplo, a rua dos Caetés, o bairro
Santa Inês, a rua Mirabela e, mais ainda, o Bar do Nélson... Conseguiram calar
a boca da imprensa mineira, por razões que não vale a pena dizer aqui. Mas o
povo foi mais esperto! Talvez, porque estamos na Era da Sociedade em Rede,
em que todos podem fazer parte de qualquer coisa, a hora que quiser. E foi
pela Internet que a população se uniu virtualmente para ficar sabendo um
pouco mais sobre o passado real do candidato-poste. Sabem de quem estou
falando, não é? Soube-se lá que o cara não tinha uma ficha tão boa assim.
Mentira ou verdade, o fato é que as informações foram repassadas aos montes
de e-mail e e-mail até chegar à Praça Sete, lugar onde o belorizontino costuma

tomar café fora de casa. Gente! O mundo mudou, mas os políticos ainda não!
O pior dessa história é que a crise financeira de Wall Street nos revelou algo no
mínimo preocupante: estamos mais do que nunca reféns do Estado, mais até
que em 1600 quando foram criadas as bases do sistema financeiro atual. Até o
dia da aprovação do pacote de socorro aos bancos privados pela Câmara dos
Estados Unidos, o mundo simplesmente parou à espera da assinatura de um
presidente quase-morto antes mesmo de entregar o cargo! Portanto, é puro
papo furado falar em lassez-fair à luz da nova economia neo-liberal onde o
Estado é mais tutor do que nunca, não acham? Quando vemos pela TV
americanos domindo em carros, nos vem logo à cabeça uma única certeza: o
sonho americano acabou! E o nosso, também? Será que também ruíram os
pilares da Revolução Francesa: Liberdade, Igualdade e Fraternidade? O certo
é que toda crise nos diz que é tempo de recomeçar. Mas, antes, precisamos
arrancar todos os postes que nos impedem de avançar. Aliás, muitos deles
estão por aí... Nas empresas, nas escolas, nas universidades, na mídia, na
imprensa. Enfim, fora das ruas onde deveriam estar. Que a nossa mudança
comece com o fim do voto obrigatório! A cara do Brasil seria outra em menos
de 10 anos. Acreditem!, bem distante da vexatória posição de número 64 no
ranking do Fórum Econômico Mundial. Sei que o caminho árduo é longo! Afinal,
precisamos derrubar muitos postes que perambulam por aí. E, claro, sem medo
de ser multado pela prefeitura. No interior, essa tarefa é mais difícil, afinal os
políticos do centro sempre quiseram que a periferia ficasse do jeito que está
para que eles permanecessem onde estão. Para mudar tudo isso, precisamos
mudar conceitos, nossas ações, o imaginário, o nosso discurso, sobretudo, as
palavras... Aliás, precisamos varrer do dicionário alguns termos e expressões
do passado: cacique político, jóia da coroa, conchavo, cabo eleitoral, boca-de-
urna, apadrinhamento político e, claro, o famigerado candidato-poste! Agora, o
papo é outro, gente!: gamecultura, newsgames, rede social, iPhone, podcast,
