This mixed methods study explored the characteristics of a cooperative learning activity, the “Study Buddy”, implemented in a graduate-level online course in instructional design. The study explored whether students (n=25) who participated in the Study Buddy activity took deeper approaches to their learning than those who did not participate (n=6), what value students received from participating in the activity, and whether the structure of the activity was appropriate to support deeper approaches to learning.
Quantitative and qualitative results were merged to form conclusions that suggest that participants could be encouraged to take deeper approaches by faculty providing sample questions for students to use to evaluate their partners’ work. Results suggest that the study buddy activity can be used to encourage social connections and to provide participants with opportunities to consider alternate opinions. Findings related to the ideal structure of the activity were inconclusive.

Angie Johnson designed a project to share the effective teaching method of Socratic seminars with other teachers. She created a video showing an edited seminar, a presentation explaining the benefits and basics of seminars, and a website with additional resources. She gathered feedback which showed the importance of motivating teachers and providing support. Her products were well-received in a trial presentation. Going forward, she plans to expand the website with more resources from her ongoing use of seminars in the classroom.

This is one of my major project for the final year of Mdes degree course in IDC, IIT Bombay. People who are interested in this subject can read the whole journey of this successful project 'Chatakpat'. This is not just about a final output, but also various alternative methods designed and tested with teachers and children. People those who work in this field and have taken this kind of project can understand these alternative methods, improve them and take this project forward.
The project focuses on repetition and encouragement to speak which will improve their speech and language skills. ‘Chatakpat’, a game was designed to encourage 4 to 8 year old hearing impaired children to speak. Guessing an answer and identifying letters is the game which can be played in the school or one senior moderator at home.
Mirror, Mirror 6 Developmental Conversations to Have with Yourself
Beth had been in her current learning and development role for two years but was now feeling bored and unchallenged. She reflected on having meaningful developmental conversations with herself to identify her next career steps. Specifically:
1) She considered where she saw herself in five years and possible career paths that aligned with her critical job satisfiers of challenges, variety, and collaboration.
2) She reflected on the skills and knowledge she would need to develop to take her career to the next level, such as leadership capabilities in a new domain.
3) She realized she could benefit from mentoring relationships and needed to ensure she was ready to fully commit to being mentored.

Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.
