1. Plot
To help figure out how the story will be told, a few ideas are to be jotted down.
1. A group are tidying up the loft/basement where they find an old sheet of paper with the
game instructions written on it. They try it, and the spirit of Mary Ann Cotton appears with a
bottle of arsenic in her hand. Acting as if the group are her sick children, Mary Ann tries to
feed the teenagers the arsenic telling them it will make them feel better. Only one escapes
out of the house, when they think they are safe the spirit appears behind them feeding them
the poison.
2. In a history lesson, the teacher is telling the students of Britain’s first female serial killer and
how she is from the area. One out of three in a group are interested and looks more into her
as the group walk home. Finding a ritual for the killer, the group want to try it out that night
and head to get what they need. Meeting back up at a field. After the ritual, one starts to
hear wheeping as the other two think they are lying. Suddenly a loud scream is heard
spooking all of them. Catching glimpses of the spirit, she continues to wheep as she claims
she was innocent. Two of the group is out of sight as one freaks out as suddenly, there head
is pulled back with arsenic being poured into their throat. The other two see this but not the
spirit and begin to run as the third collapses and is pulled out of frame by the spirit.
3. At a sleep over, the group are looking at urban legends and rituals to do for fun. After trying
“Bloody Mary”, they find one for Mary Ann Cotton, they give it a go. Using candles, they do
the ritual and the candles blow out just as they are finished. Spooking them, they all laugh
and blame it on a draft. Trying to turn the lights back on, the electric is said to be out. The
group pout about it as wheeping begins to be heard. Calling a group member “a baby”, the
question is raised as to who it is crying. Finding a torch, two of the group stand together as
the light hits the figure. Trying not to panic, they walk towards the spirit asking if she is okay.
Hearing muttering as she cries, the spirit grabs a hold of the torch holder crying out that
she’s innocent. Screaming and stepping back the spirit disappears. Running into the others
from the group, the spirit grabs one of them. The next day the parents return and find the
kids sprawled out around the house.
