A presentation of the three potential plots that we came up with for our own horror film.

2. • A mother and her child are sat in bed and the mother is reading a bedtime story. The
story has references in it that remind the mother of a traumatic camping trip she took
as a teenager. After reading the story through once, she throws it away and represses
the memory of the trip. Days later, the book returns and is in an envelope through the
post. However, this time the story has become more gruesome. The book begins to
imply that the mother knows more than she is letting on about the disappearance of
her childhood friend. This time, burns the book in order to dispose of it and becomes
increasingly distressed by her past. Later on, the mother is shopping in a supermarket.
She turns away to put something in her trolley and when she looks back, the book is
placed in front of her. When she gets home, she opens the book to discover that there
is traumatised handwriting of a child, accusing her of the disappearance of her friend.
At this point, the mother gets in contact with her the other three friends she went on
the trip with and explains her troubles. It turns out they have all had the same dilemma
and so between them, they decide to return to the forest with the books and create
some kind of memorial towards their friend and bury the books at the place they last
saw her. Once they have finished this and are leaving, the ghost of their friend is seen
behind them, waving goodbye to her friends and implying that her spirit is now at
peace.

3. • A young teacher was close to some sixth form students and had developed a good
relationship with them. They inform her of another member of staff being abusive
towards students at the school. She assures them that she will take the problem
into her own hands and will make things better for them. Soon after, she is
reported missing and later found dead. It is unsure as to what happened to her –
she may have been killed but it could also have been suicide due to her loneliness
and deteriorating mental state. The case becomes closed and unsolved by the
police as they struggle to find any new leads. However, the daughters of the
students now attend the same school and become increasingly curious about the
case. The students then decide to get justice for the teacher and attempt to solve
the case themselves. However, one of them comes too close to finding out the
truth and is killed as well. She enters the forest where the teacher’s body was
found, not knowing that the killer had followed her to the location.
• The potential suspects are the abusive teacher, herself and also her twin brother
who could have killed her out of jealousy due to her academic and financial
advantages over him.

4. • A group of teenage friends go out on an ordinary day during term break and
decide to explore the abandoned hospital in the town. They enter the hospital and
all seems eerie having heard spiritual sounds coming from inside. One has an Ouija
board in which they all sit down round and play. The longer they stay inside the
ruin the higher the risk they have of getting possessed. This leads them to a game
of survival against the spirit. This spirit is a troubled inpatient that was isolated and
left untreated when the hospital was open. They passed away in a small, dark
room and was forgotten about for months. The spirit wants to seek revenge and
hates company. As the teenagers interact with this spirit more, it becomes more
irritated. One of the teenagers gets locked in the room that the patient died in.
One by one the teenagers become possessed by the spirit.

scenes.
