demonstrated it at the 1862 Great
International Exhibition in London.The
organic material derived from cellulose
was called Perkesine.
 Polythene was first synthesized by the German
chemist Hans Von Pechmann in 1898 just by
an accident. The first industrial synthesis of
polythene was discovered in 1933 by Eric Fwacett
and Reginald Gibson(again by an baccident)
