Blackpool's over £1 billion Growth and Prosperity Programme aims to transform the local economy through major investments in infrastructure, development projects, and attracting new businesses. Recent investments include over £570 million in the past decade for projects like the Talbot Gateway CBD, promenade upgrades, and hotels. Planned projects under the programme include further phases of the Talbot Gateway, a new conference center, developing the airport as an enterprise zone with over £300 million of investment, and a transformative £300 million investment in Blackpool Central.
