1. We conducted the pitch in order to find out our target audiences opinions on our initial ideas;
predominantly this is for consolidation of our ideas and enables us to question which of our
ideas will work effectively within the genre. This was a helpful piece of primary research as
now as a group we can determine what we would like to finalise and which ideas do not fit
the conventional style of the slasher genre appropriately, by presenting these ideas to an
audience we are given a reception where we are able to gage whether or not we are on the
right tracks. During the delivery of the pitch the audience interaction was helpful when
deciding on a potential name/tagline; we have to take the audience's opinion into
consideration as they are the target audience for our media products. During the pitch we
showed multiple trailers from the slasher genre, this gives them an idea of what to expect
conventionally and which existing movies we are taking inspiration from. In the early stages
of research the pitch was a good piece of work for strengthening our work ethic individually
and as a group, it enables us to see what was missing and how much extra research was
required prior to the production stages.
