This document discusses three types of phrasal verbs in English. Type 1 phrasal verbs have no object and the verb and particle are never separated. Type 2 phrasal verbs have a separable object, where the object can come between the verb and particle if it is a pronoun. Type 3 phrasal verbs have an inseparable object, so the verb and particle cannot be separated even with a pronoun object. Some phrasal verbs also have two particles that are never separated.
