Photography is the process of creating durable images by recording light or electromagnetic radiation using an image sensor or photographic film. Early experiments with color photography in the mid-19th century required extremely long exposures and could not permanently fix the photographs. Digital photography allows for photo manipulation while chemical photography on film resists manipulation. Modern cameras come in various types including digital SLRs, camera phones, and light field cameras that can capture multiple perspectives.
