Photography has evolved greatly over time from early cameras that used film to modern digital cameras. Cameras have changed from early film cameras that used light-sensitive photographic film to capture and develop images, to Polaroid cameras that developed photos instantly, to today's digital cameras that store images electronically without the need for film. Digital cameras store images digitally on memory cards rather than film and allow photographers to view photos immediately on screens and share them electronically.
