The Zimova Lab at Ohio University's Department of Biological Sciences is actively seeking 1 to 2 motivated PhD students to join our team in either the spring or fall of 2024. Successful candidates admitted to our program will be awarded teaching assistantships, offering a minimum annual stipend of $23,000, combined with a full tuition waiver. Additionally, for those eligible, the opportunity to secure a research assistantship with a minimum annual stipend of $26,000, alongside a tuition waiver, may arise. One noteworthy aspect is that GRE scores are not required for admission. At our lab, all students will acquire valuable skills in field ecology and quantitative research methods, along with specialized skills aligned with their unique research interests. Our primary focus revolves around investigating the impact of climate change on animals and their potential adaptations.
