Editor's Notes

  • #8 -These costs have been developed as guides to help students anticipate their expenses at UNC Chapel Hill. Cost can vary depending on program (oral biology maybe less expensive)-Some students will spend more than the typical amounts, others less, depending on individual lifestyles and circumstances. -A student’s eligibility for financial aid, however, will not be based on individual preferences and spending habits, but on the standard budget allowances. -Costs for an upcoming academic year are updated and posted after estimated budgets for books and supplies, food and housing, and personal expenses/transportation are determined by the University AND again, if necessary, after the legislature sets the final costs for tuition and fees (typically late summer).Current cost of attendance reflects students who are currently classified and undergraduate. The COA is slighter higher for student considered graduate for FA purposes. Although t/f are the same across the board. The housing component of COA is slightly higher for grad since mainly off campus.
