Perspective is a technique for representing three-dimensional space on a flat surface using linear perspective, where closer objects appear larger and more distant objects appear smaller, allowing depth to be seen on a flat surface. To create the illusion of space in perspective drawing, a vanishing point is established on the horizon line, with objects drawn using orthogonal lines leading to the vanishing point. There are two types of perspective: one-point perspective where forms are seen face-on and drawn to a single vanishing point, and two-point perspective where objects are seen at an angle and drawn to two vanishing points.
