Music isn t just what I do, it s who I am, and who I ve always been. I play twelve
instruments. Some fluently, some only a singular note or, maybe a song. This all
started out in sixth grade when I could not decide what instrument was best for me.
I started out my first two months of middle school by switching from instrument to
instrument. I began with the oboe, and a week later, I changed to percussion. Only
then, did I attempt to play all of the brass instruments and I mean all of them
trumpet, french horn, tuba, trombone, and baritone, you name it, and I ve probably
played it. Next, I moved on to all of the woodwinds, flutes, clarinets, and all of the
saxophones. Again, I cycled through the percussion instruments once again. Finally, I
decided that I would rather play notes on a staff than beat something with a stick. I
was forced, by my very irritated band teacher, to pick one of the two that I was better
at, the alto saxophone or the trumpet. Two completely different musical instruments
in two completely different musical families. Of course, as an indecisive twelve year
old, I could not pick. Mr. Deneen, a woodwind player himself, chose the alto

Introduction
The second learning objective we have is Knowledge. Which is my personal favorite
communication learning goal. I feel like the majority of the classes i have had in the
communication major has taught me something about myself and the world around
me. Knowledge means viewing our personal or professional lives through its

Personal Experience
In 2011, I left high school flustered. I did not know were I was headed, I couldn t see
in a sense I was in complete darkness. I left St. Catherine s perplexed, because I had

Child Soldiers Children all across world are being exploited as child soldiers.
Everyday kids younger the age of 10 are putting their lives on the line mostly by
force. ВЁOver the last ten years, two million children have been killed in conflict.
Over one million have been orphaned, over six million have been seriously injured or
permanently disabled and over ten million have been left with serious psychological
trauma.ВЁ(Children In Conflict). A child soldier is a child with armed forces; they re
trained to fight, cook, be porters, messengers, informant spies, etc. Countries all
across the world have been using children to fight, places like the United Kingdom,
Africa, and Asia lean on children to do their dirty work regardless of what laws are
put into place for recruitment age. Underage soldiers has been an unnecessary evil
for far too long and there are many programs in place to help lower such numbers. A
mutual goal all programs and laws have is to heighten the recruitment age to 18, so
that only adults may be put into active duty. OPAC was the first international treaty

signed in agreement with this law, but 18 have yet to do the same. 14 countries that

Political theory has changed over the history of the discipline. Two of the most
influential and arguably most important theorists are the Greek philosopher Plato,
and the Renaissance s Niccolo Machiavelli. These two characters represent the
beginning of idealistic political thought, and a more realist and contemporary way
that politics are looked at even today. The ideals of these two will be discussed and
dissected, to some extent to show how unobtainable Platos ideal is compared to
Machiavelli s realism that is seen in today s political atmosphere in various types

THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT: The background is found in Matthew s gospel.
The book of Mathew opens after breaking 400 years of silence between Malachi and
the birth of Jesus. During this 400 years of silence we have no canonical record of
prophets or leader to lead the people. I would think that there were some people still
looking for the Messiah.
Matthew begins with the genealogy of Jesus Christ the Son of David, the Son of
Abraham. He makes it clear that Jesus is the, the Son of David .
When we come to the 5th chapter of Matthew, Matthew Begins with Jesus and his
disciples climbing a small hill somewhere around Capernaum. But the exact location
is not positive. Today this ancient site of Capernaum, which tradition reports to have
been the place near where this sermon was delivered, and is called today, the Mount
of Beatitudes.
We find Jesus meeting with his disciples and a large group that followed. His
followers was not just from Galilee, but Decapolis, Judea, Jerusalem, and from Syria.
His meeting is different than from those of the Scribes and Pharisees who preferred
meeting in public places to be seen of men.

Summary: In book IX of Natural History, Pliny speaks about fishes and other
marine animals. And in this passage , he describes different types of shell fish
along with the contributions of some types to luxury and corruption. In the
beginning of this passage, Pliny starts off by speaking about sea urchins where he
describes them as creatures with spines that can only go forward by rolling over
their spines. Which explains why they are often found with worn off spines.
