1) By 2030, it is projected that there will be 1 social robot per home to assist with an aging population. 2) Personal robotics is in the middle of a new tech revolution focused on augmented life through advances in areas like artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, and smart personal robots. 3) For robots to be widely accepted, they will need to demonstrate emotions, mobility, grasping, navigation and other skills while being designed to be loyal and not replace humans but rather focus on human well-being.
