My personal code of ethics has helped me achieve my goals in life and do well in school. Whenever I have to do something that is important to me,
I make sure to keep my code of ethics in mind. My code of ethics comes from the values my parents have imposed on me and the lessons they have
taught me throughout my life. Whenever I make a mistake or get in trouble, they make sure I understand what I did wrong and make sure I

While constructing my code of ethics, the only criteria I had in mind is for it to not only be good for others but also myself. With that, I included the
rule, "Believe in yourself" which represents self love. Often, I doubt my abilities for I am an anxious person and it is hard for me not to think of
anything more but practical. I am not a daring person and I do not like to do things that I will not know the outcome of. Often I find myself giving up

For instance, my first personal ethic states "Treat everyone equally," which is similar to the golden rule found on Matthew 7:12 in the bible,
"Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." Furthermore, an ethic that inspires a personal
experience of mine is, "Do not judge a person over something they have no control over." This is something I follow religiously especially at this time
in my life where self esteem and judgments are at an all–time high. This rule reminds me that it is not fair to judge someone by their looks for it is
something a person is born with and something they really cannot change. Instead, I remind myself that everyone's features are unique and beautiful but

Morals, values, and ethics are one of the most important characteristics of a person. These features define who we are and what we believe in.
Many different factors come in to play when determining a person`s morals, values, and ethics; childhood upbringing, later life experiences, family,
friends, culture, religious beliefs, race, discussions with others, and many others that have an affect a person's beliefs (Head, 2006). There are times
when a person`s beliefs do not agree with someone else's, which does not mean that one of these people is wrong, it means that we, as individuals, do

I will be a friend and help when I am able. I will not judge people; I will treat everyone fairly and equally. I will not be prejudice towards anyone
because of any differences they may have, be it cultural, gender, beliefs, religion, social status, or opinions. I will never intentionally harm anyone,
or steal from anyone, I will never set out to do wrong by anyone, I will always believe in the good in people without compromising myself and my
