Description
I was assigned the role of "Field In charge" and my objective was to complete the engagement in an effective & efficient manner. My
responsibilities for these engagements included:
- Helping achieve smooth running of the engagement;
- Acting as the focal point of information relating to the achievement of the project plan;
- People and resource management e.g. develop & monitor plans & work schedules;
- Management of meeting with the client personnel including high level executive;
- Aspects of client management e.g. central liason, administrative point of contact for client & team; &
- File, document & knowledge management e.g. coordinate engagement team deliverables, setup and maintain audit files.

I lead myself and others to make a difference and deliver results in a responsible, authentic, resilient, inclusive and passionate
manner.
Areas of Strength:
I always contribute in team discussions to share knowledge that can benefit the work group. I have demonstrated commitment
to continuous performance improvement and acted as a resource to my other team members by readily offering assistance and
guidance. I share and apply awareness gained through internal and external sources (e.g. consultation with colleagues and
technical experts, market trends, business/industry research) and help others learn not only on my job but others my colleagues
on other jobs as well when they require. I also have a tendency to learn new techniques to work more effectively and efficiently.
I also tried to have a good relationship with PwC other offices and Line of Services whenever required.

I strived to achieve the highest level of performance for my team as a whole for the benefit of the client, the team and PwC
Riyadh Office. My ultimate goal was to perform a fully compliant engagement which results in high quality independent
assessments and judgement provided by the team internally and to the client.
For e.g. at the completion of audit, the client was satisfied with the quality and timeliness of the professional services provided by
us. This included our judgments and assessments made during discussions with management and the presentations made to the
audit committee.
Further, we timely presented all the significant issues / matter to the management which helps them in being aware of all the
significant matters and closely monitor such issues to reach a satisfactory resolution / conclusion.

have demonstrated courage and integrity throughout the course of the project. I have drafted suitably written official documents
and displayed appropriate technical knowledge to deal with critical accounting and auditing issues. I was able to acquire and apply
commercial and technical expertise, using my ever-growing experience of audit.

I operate and Collaborate effectively with a mindset which transcends geographic and cultural boundaries. 1
Areas of Strength:
I have demonstrated respect for all team members and an awareness of their workloads, offered coaching and help team
members and took on additional tasks. I have displayed teamwork, knowledge sharing, maintaining relationships and living the
firm's values.
I have also explained my team members how their assigned tasks contribute to meeting the objectives of the engagement as well
as their career development. I attempt to address conflicts in a timely, sensitive manner and escalate to leadership, when
appropriate. I always acknowledge and appreciate the good work of my coaleagues and keep on motivating them and help them
stay focussed. I endeavour to make a conscious effort to thank team members for their efforts and contributions
towards the project.
For e.g. I gave brief sessions relating to documentation on Aura, PwC methodology and client's business to the associates
working under my supervision to ensure their professional growth. From time to time I also helped the less experienced associates
to learn MS Office specially MS Excel and MS word so they can perform their work more efficiently. I did this by teaching them
how to apply shortcut keys, Excel formulas that can help them get the required results in lesser time, etc.
From client perspective, I ensured that the team and myself had a deep and broad understanding of the business environment,
the industry and specific issues that the client faced. I also ensured that we understand what value means to the stakeholders of
the client (directors, management, regulators, shareholders, etc).

I desire to build trust by encouraging others to contribute and achieve high performance targets. I wish to assess capabilities and
need of the team members to help them develop meaningful networks. To encourage team dialogue, keep team and leadership
informed on progress and issues.
I would also like to have more exposure by working on the same or different office clients abroad to have more diverse and a
global exposure. This will enhanve and make my global accumen stronger.

Relationships
I build relationships of high value which are genuine and rooted in trust.
Areas of Strength:
During the audit, I focussed on strengthening the relationship between PwC and Alinma. I tried to demonstrate such behaviour
which can help in building a strong and long sustainable relationship with Alinma and its affiliates. I ensured that a high level of
mutual respect, understanding of each others objectives and trust was built and maintained between the engagement team and
client personnel at all times through the credibility of the work performed by PwC and the reliability of our services.
For example, Alinma expects us to complete the audit in a timely manner to meet the reporting deadlines set by the regulators
(SAMA). We were able to deliver according to the client expectations and provided the audit report well within the
deadlines at each quarterly reporting and annual reporting.

Having no prior experience with this client, Arslan took up this challenge and performed much more than that was expected from
him. He developed excellent professional relationship with the client and completed all the audit documentation within a timely manner
to ensure that the deadlines of the client are met. The client was fully satisfied with the dedication, commitment and level of services
provided by our team. In addition, he also maintained timely coordination with the ITRA team and the joint auditors. This was also my
first year of managing Alinma Bank and this would not have been possible without Arslan's contribution.
Arslan has a very proactive and responsible attitude towards work and he never hesitates to take on additional responsibilities. He
demonstrates a behaviour that is reflective of the PwC code of conduct. He kept me updated on all the issues and audit findings
throughout the course of the audit and performed an efficient audit that resulted in significant improvement in job economics as
compared to the prior year.
I would recommend Arslan to try to take part in engagements in various industry sectors to enhance and diversify his technical

business/regulatory environment. have taken responsibility for the quality of the audit field work and timely and precise audit
documentation in accordance with PwC methodology. It was a great learning experience and I tried to give my best efforts to meet the
PwC requirements and deliver high quality services to the client.
