Penguins are flightless birds that live near the coasts of South America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Antarctica. There are 17 different types of penguins that vary in size, from the largest emperor penguins that live in Antarctica, to the smaller little blue penguins of Australia. Penguins survive in cold climates by eating fish, squid, and krill from the sea, and keeping warm by huddling together in groups.

1. PENGUINS
Penguins are birds, but they can´t
fly. Penguins live by the sea.
There are penguins on the coast
of South America, South Africa,
Australia and New Zealand.

penguins:
• Emperor Penguins are bigger
than all other penguins. They live
in the Antarctic is very cold an winter. It can be -60 º C.
• Little Blue Penguins are smaller
than other penguins. They live
on the south coast of Australia.
• Rockhopper
Penguins
have got yellow feather above their
eyes. The have got red eyes.

2. • Penguins eat a lot of food. All the food is from the sea.
They eat fish, squid and krill. Penguins have got short
legs. Sometimes penguins move on their stomachs.
When it is very cold, penguins huddle in groups. Then
they feel warm.
