Pencil And Paper Tapping

1. Pick an issue
Pencil And Paper Tapping

2. Mentally and emotionally get back into it
Pencil And Paper Tapping

3. Complete the sentence: “It is ...”
(as many times and as quickly as you can)
Pencil And Paper Tapping

4. Stop when the 'well runs dry' or you start
repeating yourself.
Pencil And Paper Tapping

5. Work through the list, repeating the sentence
out-loud, giving each item an intensity score.
Pencil And Paper Tapping

6. Repeat the same process for
“He/She/They are ...” and “I am ...”
Pencil And Paper Tapping

7. Choose the most intense statement,
start tapping

8. When you have neutralised one statement
re-score the remaining items, then start tapping
on the next strongest statement.

9. Stop when the issue seems resolved to you.

●

It's simple and effective
It can uncover parts of the issue that might
escape your attention at first glance
It can identify patterns of problems
