Pellet is an economic and alternative form of fuel made from compressed sawdust or other wood byproducts without chemicals. It is a standardized cylindrical fuel that is cheaper than fossil fuels like oil and gas, and more stable in price. Pellets are practical to transport and use automatically, and are ecologically friendly as production does not require cutting trees and combustion is very clean. Factories that produce pellets are located in several regions in Greece including Corinth, Lamia, Ioannina, Western Macedonia, Drama, Veria and Kastoria.
