Pellet

Pellet
Pellet is a new, economic and
alternative form of fuel. Wood pellet
or biomass of wooden form is a
standardized cylindrical biological
fuel in small size which is consisted
of forest, agricultural and wood
processing wastes.

                                        2
For the production of pellet
there are no chemical substances
or additives involved. Pellet is a
very competitive fuel, towards
fossil fuels such as oil, natural
gas and electricity and it is both
economical and easy to use.

                                     3
Advantages of Pellet
• Practical: it is transported packaged and can
be used with automatic proportioning device
  for catering of fire.
• Ecological: a) in order to create pellet there
is no need to cut trees because it is produced
from discarded or recyclable timber, and it is
perfect combustion eliminates the amount of
ash produced. b) It reduces forest residues
from timber production and the furniture
  industry.
                                               4
• Cheap: it is cheaper than oil and
electric energy and it presents a
more stable course of price changes.
• It is the most economic fuel: 60% of
  the money which someone would
  spend for space heating.
• The equivalence of thermal
performance is: 1 lit oil to 2 kg pellet.

                                              5
Factories of pellet production
are located in Corinth, Lamia,
Ioannina, Western Macedonia,
Drama, Veria, Kastoria.
