Body Stillness in
Symmetrical and
Asymmetrical Shapes
Using Body Parts
How is body
stillness
demonstrated?
Body stillness can be shown
using stunts in gymnastics.
Some dual stunts may show
momentary stillness.
Symmetrical Shapes
-when the body forms
identical shapes on both
sides. It shows balance.
Asymmetrical Shapes
-when the body forms two
different shapes on both
sides. It shows uneven
balance.
Correct Body
Posture
Posture is the position in
which you hold your entire
body whether you are
standing, sitting, or lying
down.
What is the proper body
posture in standing and
sitting positions?
To stand is actually very
easy to do, but to do it
properly is another thing.
The proper way to stand:
1. Hold your head up and chin in, look
straight ahead.
2. Put your shoulders back.
3. Tuck your tummy in.
4. Keep your knees straight.
5. Take a deep breath and relax your
shoulders.
6. Keep your chest forward.
Sitting is very easy to do.
You do it inside the
classroom, when you watch
movies with your family,
and when you go to
restaurants after.
The proper way to sit:
1. Always keep your back straight.
2. Put your back against the
backrest of your chair.
3. Make sure your knee forms a
right angle.
4. Flatten your feet on the floor.
Can you tell
something about the
drawing on the right
showing the proper
way to sit?
