This document describes a face recognition attendance system created by students. The system aims to create a convenient self-powered portable smart attendance system using face recognition technology. It includes a database to store facial images of students and can identify if a face matches one in the database, notifying the teacher of the student's attendance status. Some key advantages are reduced costs, easy reporting and integration. The system was implemented and initial results showed new student enrollments and image uploads were successful.

We wanted to revolutionize the digital tools available in today's time i.e., facial recognition. This project has revolutionized to overcome the problems of the traditional system. Face recognition and marking the present is our project. A database of all students in the class is kept in single folder, and attendance is marked if each student's face matches with one of the stored faces. Otherwise, the face is ignored and not marked for attendance. In our project, face detection (machine learning) is used.
SmartPoly is secure and easy to use communication platform that empowers teacher and students. Android college management system is an android application which is helpful for students as well as the colleges. In the existing system all the activities are done manually. It is very costly and time consuming .In our proposed system students can view results using Android phones. The data will view stored in the college server. The faculty can login into their college account through the app itself and update the academic result, in this system, student have easy access for viewing the marks by Prof. Chougule V. Until today, most lecturers in universities are found still using the conventional methods of taking students attendance either by calling out the student names or by passing around an attendance sheet for students to sign confirming their presence.This project is absolutely on the android-based attendance management system. Android based attendance system provides efficient means of determining eligibility criteria for students to meet examination requirements. [1] The core idea of research project is to implement Android based application for attendance management system for advancement of institution and educational system [2]. This system enables student to learn anywhere, anytime and at their own convenience. This system makes students to be active, responsive while learning their academic. Another application that is provided by this system is smart attendance evaluation and report generation. [2]This makes the work even easier for the lecturers. Also there is a separate module for analyzing the results of the test exams of the students. There is a certain criterion to be met for each and every student to appearing for the test exam. The main objective of this paper is to provide an overview on the data mining techniques that have been used to predict students performance. [3]A certain action can be taken on students not fulfilling the criteria. This process basically aims at improving the overall student performance by taking into consideration student attendance and test marks.
In recent years VB.net has brought many drastic changes in building powerful web application development. This application provides a generalized solution to monitor the various works that are carried out by the Placement Cell. “Smart Alert for College†provides a simple interface for the maintenance of student placement information and to filter student interview process list based on company eligibility criteria. It can be used by educational institutes or colleges to maintain the records of students. The creation and management of accurate, up to date information regarding a students' academic career is critically important in the university as well as colleges. The purposed system helps the placement cell to manage the mark details of the students and their placement information and it automatically sends Interview alert to student mobile number based on company basic criteria. Smart Alert for College deals with all kind of student details, academic related reports, college details, course details, placement details. It allows to update the various placement notifications to the staff and students updated by the placement administration. The professor may want to change the sequence of questions for every student. The problem that a student has is whenever a date for the exam is declared the student has to take it and there is no way he can take it at some other time. This project will create an interface for the examiner to create and store questions in a repository. It will also create an interface for the student to take examinations at his convenience and the questions and/or exams may be timed. Thereby creating an application which can be used by examiners and examinee’s simultaneously.
Examination System is very useful for Teachers/Professors. As in the teaching profession, you are responsible for writing question papers. In the conventional method, you write the question paper on paper, keep question papers separate from answers and all this information you have to keep in a locker to avoid unauthorized access. Using the Examination System you can create a question paper and everything will be written to a single exam file in encrypted format. You can set the General and Administrator password to avoid unauthorized access to your question paper. Every time you start the examination, the program shuffles all the questions and selects them randomly from the database, which reduces the chances of memorizing the questions.

6. EXPLANATION:

Our master processor has two inputs, one from the camera which is real time
data and another from pre- stored image data. Initially when camera sends
input to master processor the face detection algorithm starts functioning. The
face detection algorithm is designed in such a way that it will only crop the
facial section of input image. This facial section is identified with help of
matching coordinates like eyes, nose and mouth which works as reference
while cropping as image.
Later this facial section of image is been stored in form of face registration. As
we know each face has its own identity in form of dedicated eyes pattern, nose
and mouth figure, by considering this our algorithm tags each input face with
different labels. Simultaneously master processor is also carrying out another
process which feature extraction of pre- stored image. Now this extracted
features goes under machine learning stage where machine learns which face
belongs to which particular tag or label. By using this parameter both inputs
are compared in classifier and if the features matches within particular
threshold value then algorithm indicates that face is been identified, later by
selecting desired data such as name, serial number and status of that identity
is transmits the information via IOT to another computer which is assumed
to be facultys computer. This is how we get real time attendance.

An attendance management system can keep track of
employee working hours, time-off, break time, login-time,
departures, students’ attendance etc. The system not only
keeps an accurate track of presence and absence but also
reduces the time and cost the HR team and office staff
spend on attendance management activities. The system
also maintains an accurate record of the student
attendance and offers timely summaries. Teachers can
simply mark attendance in just a tap. It reduces the extra
effort required to mark the attendance manually. The fast
and accurate system also avoids incorrect and duplicate
data entry. You can create attendance reports at a click of
a button.

i. The first is usage of Haar Features for the detection of
features in the input image.
ii. The second is the introduction of a new image illustration
called the - Integral Image which allows the features used by
our detector to be computed very quickly.
iii. The third is an easy and efficient classifier which is built using
the AdaBoost learning algorithm to select a small number of
critical visual features from a very large set of potential
features.
iv. The fourth contribution is a process for combining classifiers
in a-cascade which allows background regions of the image to
be quickly discarded while spending more computation on
promising face-like regions.

I. The popularity of face recognition attendance systems is
further increased by the speed of image processing and
simplicity of integration.
II. An automatic attendance management system is a necessary
tool for any learning management schools colleges kr
companies . Most of the existing systems are time consuming
and require a semi manual work from the teacher or students.
Our approach aims to solve the issues by integrating face
recognition in the process. Even though this system has
disadvantages like detecting large number of faces, there is
much more room for improvement. Since we implement a
modular approach we can improve different modules until we
reach an acceptable detection and identification rate. The
system can be enhanced in such a way that the accuracy,
detection rate and recognition rate can be increased so that
more number of students can be detected and recognized for
those who are present in the class.
