Paul conducted an experiment to determine which popcorn is the better buy between Wal-Mart and Orville Redenbacher's. He hypothesized that Wal-Mart popcorn would be the better buy. He cooked bags from each brand at the same temperature and time to control variables, then counted the pieces in each bag. His data showed the Wal-Mart bag had more pieces, so he concluded that Wal-Mart popcorn is the better buy since it costs less but contains more pieces.
