Paul Klee was a Swiss-German artist born in 1879 who was influenced by cubism and expressionism. He was part of the Blue Rider group and taught at the Bauhaus school of art. Klee's work was dreamlike and featured squares like cubism as well as simplistic, childlike elements of primitivism. His art was condemned by the Nazis in 1933. He incorporated styles of surrealism, cubism, and primitivism and is known for works that depicted his dreams and inner child.
