What is the Past Perfect Tense?
• The Past Perfect Tense expresses
the idea that something happened
before another action in the past.
• It can also say that something
happened before a specific time in
the past
Example:
• I had never seen a beautiful girl like her
before I went to San Fernando.
What is the difference of Past
Tense and Past Perfect Tense?
PAST TENSE
• You have a specific
time phrase
(yesterday, last night,
last week, few weeks
ago, few hours ago).
PAST PERFECT TENSE
• You don’t have a
specific time phrase
because the time is
not that important.
