Pasir Ris Primary School students Daneel Shih, Deniece Toh Shi Wen, and Jane Ang Yu Zheng are organizing a "Give and Take" storybook campaign from July 15 to July 22 to promote environmental awareness and encourage reading. They plan to exchange old storybooks that are still in good condition to continue recycling efforts in the school and raise awareness about caring for the environment among classmates. The students also want to promote using only recycled paper and materials throughout the school.

2. Singapore’s recycling effort is severely
lacking in our neighbourhoods. There is
little effort put into encouraging people to
recycle their waste materials!
1. Start a ‘Give and Take’
storybooks campaign -

culture – only use recycled

 In order to solve the problem, we have decided to promote environmental awareness in our
school .Hence, we are going to organise the “Give and Take ‘campaign. According to the
School Librarian, there are many old and unwanted books that are still in good condition
 We want to continue our recycling efforts in the school in raising our schoolmates’
awareness in the environment.We also want to encourage our schoolmates to read more
widely.
 This campaign is all about exchanging books with your friends.Simply bring a book from
home and exchange it with another book with your friends.Or you can simply put your books
in the shelves near the Speakers’ Corner for others to exchange.
