Abdulla Pashew is a famous Kurdish poet born in 1946 in Erbil, Kurdistan. He has published several poetry collections since the 1960s and was nominated for the Nobel Prize. Though excluded from Kurdistan, Pashew remains actively writing poetry and literature and translating works to Kurdish. He is considered one of the most significant critical poets challenging political and social issues. Pashew currently lives in Finland.
