2. “Someone who is not merciful to others, will not be treated mercifully”. In one statement, the prophet Mohammed,
expressed the truth about the world. Death penalty, also called capital punishment, happens when a government
executes someone usually because they have committed a serious crime. The first death penalty process refers
back to the Eighteenth Century B.C. in the Code of King Hammurabi of Babylon, which is provided the death
penalty for 25 different crimes. Some common ways of death penalty at that time were boiling, burning at the
stake, hanging and drawing. In the Tenth Century, hanging became the conventional method of death penalty in
Britain, and it was usual because many people supported it. In addition they highly admired the implementation
because they wanted to control the crime level. Every day, people are put to death by the state of punishment for
diversity of crimes. In some countries it is reserved for acts of terror and murder.

groups because of unfair treatment in the equality system, poor people have less access to the equality of
punishment. In many countries the death penalty is frequently implemented on people who live under
“poverty line”, and the poor are far more likely to receive the death penalty than wealthy people”. According
to Todd, “The death penalty is poor person’s issue. Always remember that … it is poor who selected to

Death penalty was a legal penalty in Iraq, and It was commonly used by the government of Saddam
Hussein and has been since his removal from office.

5. There will be always hope for everyone, a second chance to reflect on the things that they have made and
learn from their mistakes. Only God can judge us, because people are mere human beings that does not have
the right to judge other people.The law, “an eye for an eye, leaves the whole world blind” ( Luther) because by
putting people to death, does not give them a chance to acknowledge their mistakes, and the murder does not
have the ability to ask for forgiveness.
